Ledley King believes Dele Alli can ‘show everyone what he can do’ for Everton this season.
Speaking on Twitter Spaces, the former Tottenham Hotspur defender revealed his admiration for the 27-year-old and admitted that he hoped to see him back to his best.
This comes three weeks after Gary Neville released an interview with Dele on his The Overlap YouTube channel in which the midfielder discussed his childhood, sexual abuse and his addiction to sleeping pills.
The midfielder joined Everton in January 2021 but is yet to have much of a chance to impress at Goodison Park, having been sent out on loan to Besiktas last summer.

Dele made only 13 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig before a season-ending injury sent him back to Merseyside, where he received surgery and later jetted off to the United States to a mental health facility.
Dele is now back on the grass and is eager to impress Sean Dyche and reignited his career after years of lacklustre form.

Speaking on Twitter with ‘AkshunNft’ and Paul Merson, King said: “I was lucky enough to coach Dele and first and foremost I could see he was a really good kid.
“He spoke to me a little about his childhood, he didn’t share as much as he shared in the interview but he told me a few things about how difficult it was growing up.
“Hopefully he gets his game back on track because you don’t lose talent overnight, it’s just down to him to get that confidence back and show everyone what he can do.”
Dele Alli will get his chance for Everton this season
Like Ledley King said, Dele Alli won’t have just lost his talent overnight and it would be a waste for Sean Dyche not to look at getting that back out of him next season.

The Toffees’ lack of depth in midfield means Dele could well be handed the perfect opportunity once he is fully fit, though he will have to take it with both hands because he may not get a third chance.
