Wilfried Gnonto’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has spoken out about Everton’s pursuit of his client.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, Vigorelli has admitted that Gnonto’s situation is ‘complicated’ as he looks to force through a move to Goodison Park.

The Italian has been on Everton’s radar all summer and has already been the subject of multiple bids, with the Toffees most recently seeing a £25 million offer rejected.

Gnonto looked set to stay at Elland Road as he starred in Leeds United’s first game against Cardiff City, however he since refused to play and has now been forced to train alone.

While the Whites have insisted that Gnonto is not for sale this summer, the 19-year-old has since handed in a written transfer request in an attempt to secure his exit.

However, his agent has now spoken out and doesn’t sound very confident that his client will land a move to Merseyside before deadline day.

Everton now seem unlikely to land Wilfried Gnonto

“The situation is complicated,” Claudio Vigorelli said. “Leeds are blocking the requests we have in the Premier League.”

Everton were expected to go in with another bid for Gnonto and are very aware that they will have to splash the cash if they are to tempt Daniel Farke’s side into selling.

However, they have already began to look at alternatives as it looks increasingly unlikely that they will sign Gnonto. The likes of Hugo Ekitike, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Goncalo Borges are reportedly under consideration, while Jack Harrison has already completed his loan move from Elland Road.
