Some Everton fans react as Gbamin reportedly gets injured again

Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has suffered another injury blow according to a report by the Athletic.

Gbamin made his first Toffees appearance for 19 months in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

It was hoped that marked the beginning of a gradual return to full fitness but he has apparently suffered another setback.

The report claims he has suffered a ‘freak’ injury, unrelated to the quad and Achilles problems which kept him out for so long before.

Shocking but sadly true – Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been injured again.

It's early doors with assessment but he may not play again this season.

The report claims that he might not play again this season – although that is still up in the air.

Either way, it’s rotten luck for Gbamin, who was due a break after such a tough start to his time at Goodison Park.

There was plenty of sympathy for the midfielder among the fanbase who just want to see him fit and well again.

That’s a tragedy, apparently he was killing it in training. Let’s get him fit for the new season. Seriously though, the number of injuries we suffer at FF, it needs to be looked at. One minute we have a fully fit squad, the next we have three or four players out.

Don't know the details yet but this isn't uncommon, after long term injuries the body is misbalanced, extra strain on other areas can cause these freak injuries. The kid must be 💔. Best thing would be to write this season off, get him recovered, give him a pre season & see
