Everton youngster Stanley Mills has now sent a two-word message to his teammate Billy Crellin after the goalkeeper signed a new contract with the Blues.
The 23-year-old Crellin moved to Goodison Park from Fleetwood Town in January 2022 and has now renewed his contract with the club, keeping him at the Toffees until 2025.
Taking to Instagram to share the news, the young goalkeeper posted: “Happy to have signed a new contract @everton.”
Responding to his teammates’ post, academy star Stanley Mills commented: “Congrats mate.”
Young players like Crellin and Mills could be the future of Everton
Crellin is yet to make his senior debut for Everton with England first choice Jordan Pickford and Joao Virginia ahead of him in the pecking order, as well as veteran Andy Lonergan.

However, a renewed deal is a show of faith in the 23-year-old who has admitted his ambition of gaining valuable playing minutes out on loan.
Speaking with the official Everton website, Crellin said: “I’ve been on loan a couple of times, so I understand what it means to play league football. Hopefully, I can go on loan and get that feeling of playing at three o’clock on a Saturday.
[I’d like to] get to January and go out and play some games on loan to show everyone here at the Club what I can do. Then come back next season and go from there.
After that, I’ll see where I’m at, and then hopefully, be No.1 in the future.”

Indeed, Crellin’s Everton teammate Stanley Mills is currently benefitting from a loan move, gaining first team experience at League One side Oxford United, where the 19-year-old has scored once in six appearances so far.
Crellin may have some experienced keepers ahead of him at Everton, but should he secure a loan move and gain some senior experience, he could have a big future at the Blues.
