Everton have travelled to Portugal, given the three-week break they boast following the postponement of the Merseyside derby, in a desperate effort to recoup some confidence.
This is a club in freefall, having failed to win in the Premier League since December and floundering worryingly close to the bottom three.
However, they are doing all the right things, but just lack that killer instinct to finish their chances and brush aside teams.
Perhaps, with one man soon set to be back from injury, they might have an answer to those outstanding issues.
What Sean Dyche said about Arnaut Danjuma
Having suffered with injuries throughout this campaign at key junctures, it is no surprise that they are still without one or two stars even after seeing the likes of Amadou Onana and Abdoulaye Doucuore make triumphant returns.
They were key men who slotted straight back into the squad, but there remains a vital absentee even if his first-team opportunities have been limited.

Speaking to Everton’s official YouTube channel, Sean Dyche has revealed the one player who they have had to leave behind in Merseyside to work on getting back to fitness on his own.
Arnaut Danjuma, who has been out ever since being hauled off against Fulham back in January, continues to work towards a recovery that keeps getting pushed back.
Regardless, it is thought that by leaving him out of the Portugal trip, it will provide him with the necessary space and time to push harder than ever to return.
Dyche claimed: ‘Arnaut has stayed back, but with good reason because he has one-on-one care and he’s making good progress there so he has a good buy into that to get those extra days training in and the specifics he needed there, he’s going well.’
Arnaut Danjuma must start for Everton when back from injury
When fit, there is no denying that Everton desperately needs some fresh impetus on the wings.
After all, for all their talents and adaptability within Dyche’s system, their form has become turgid, stuck by the struggling offensive form the club finds itself in.
And whilst they are huge perpetrators of this blatant profligacy, they too are being hamstrung by a lack of finishing ability elsewhere.
So, perhaps it might serve them well to rest either Dwight McNeil or Jack Harrison, and instead opt for a more direct, goalscoring threat, rather than the slower, creative mould the manager has persisted with.

When on form, Danjuma has been one of Europe’s most dangerous wide men, having notched 16 goals and four assists less than two years ago after making his £21m move to Villarreal.
He is certainly worth a punt, for he could do no worse than those ahead of him at the moment.
