Excitement is certainly building as Everton’s new stadium begins to take shape.

The Toffees are set to move into the Bramley-Moore Dock development for the start of the 2025/26 season.

With all-systems go, the club are also focussing on commercial aspects of the build, with progress being made regarding naming rights.

Everton partnered with Elevate Sports Ventures in 2022 as the board sought the best advice regarding the stadium’s name.

“We are continuing to make good progress in respect of stadium naming rights as we look to secure a suitable partner to benefit from this unique opportunity,” said chief commercial officer Richard Kenyon.

“This has been an extensive and thorough global process, one which is focused on finding the right long-term naming partner for our new home.”

Over recent months, the development has taken leaps forward, with the construction beginning to resemble a multi-million-pound state-of-the-art facility.

Throughout the process, Youtuber Mister Drone has provided updates on the Bramley-Moore Dock construction.

His latest video was released on Saturday morning, providing a close-up fly-by of the stadium. The footage displayed seats being installed in some of the lower tiers.

Initially, the club were looking to move into their new home midway through the 2024/25 season. However, the date has now been pushed back.

Alix Waldron, principal lead for stadium development project management at Everton, told Sky Sports (quoted by the Liverpool Echo): “We should get completion of construction in this calendar year. We then have to carry out test events for our safety certificate, which we’re hoping to do in the early part of 2025.

“We’re obviously so used to what we do down at Goodison, we’ve got to make sure everybody is ready for the first game in August ’25.”

Everton’s new home will provide the club with several new revenue streams – something that is desperately required.

The multi-purpose stadium use will allow for other sporting events to take place and, in turn, provide Everton with another form of revenue that would adhere to Financial Fair Play and Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The recent footage certainly provides Evertonians with reason to be excited heading.
