Everton’s finances have been in a dire state over recent years and while improvements are being made, a precarious line is being tread.
After having a 10-point deduction earlier in the season, the Premier League have also charged Everton a second time.
This leaves the club staring the possibility of relegation in the face, something that could prove catastrophic if it happened.
With the new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock still in progress, relegation could severely impact the club’s finances to the point that its completion could be a tricky issue for the Toffees.
While it’s looking great, there’s still a lot of money required for the stadium and so there is a real concern over Everton’s stability if they get relegated.
Now, this fear has been shared by super agent Jon Smith who has made a worrying administration claim.

Jon Smith makes concerning prediction on Everton’s worries
Writing in his Caught Offside column, Smith issued a worrying warning over Everton’s current state.
“Not to mention a contingency of £300m in additional funds for the new stadium that I’ve heard about.
“You and I both know that when you do anything with your house though, the last bit is always the most expensive, so I think you’re looking at £500m for the final piece of the stadium, which is a lot of money.
“My big worry is that Everton get caned, they lose their appeals and, ultimately, they go down.
“Then I’d be fearful, given and being aware of some of the financial issues, that quite possibly the only exit for them from those problems would be to go into administration.
“That indeed would be a very sad day.”
A real worry, Sean Dyche has a massive job on his hands
Right now, Everton boss Sean Dyche faces the most important three and a half months of his career, to keep Everton in the Premier League.
Sitting just inside the relegation zone, but only a point behind Luton Town, Everton needs a run of results similar to what we saw in December.
Survival is probably still likely with Everton a better side than their close relegation rivals.
However, the words of Smith are a stark reminder of how pivotal it is to survive this season.
