England defeated Mexico 3-2 in their own backyard last night.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford earned rave reviews for his performance, as England advanced to the last eight of the World Cup.
Pickford was called into action a number of times at the Azteca Stadium, and despite conceding twice, he was considered one of the best players on the pitch.
Mahrez has just left Al-Ahli… should Everton sign him on a free? 👀
The 32-year-old will now be preparing to face Norway in the quarter-finals this Saturday, and he’s set to break an England record.

Jordan Pickford set to make England history
Pickford equalled Peter Shilton’s remarkable record of 17 World Cup appearances for the Three Lions last night.
The Toffees star, who is playing in his third World Cup, is about to set a new record against Norway this weekend.
Pickford will make his 18th appearance at the competition and surpass Shilton’s tally, which is an incredible achievement.
He will also play his 30th consecutive game at a major international tournament. No other England goalkeeper has demonstrated that level of consistency.
Now Hackney is confirmed, who should Everton be bringing in next? 💰
Time to take our foot off the brake pedal in the market…
If Pickford were to go all the way and win the World Cup, he would become only the second active Everton player to win the tournament.
Ray Wilson is the only player to do so, having won it in Alf Ramsey’s famous England side in 1966.
Thomas Tuchel’s men have five days to prepare before they take on Norway in Miami, Florida.
Pickford will certainly have a hard task keeping Erling Haaland at bay as the Norwegian centre-forward remains in the race to win the Golden Boot after netting seven goals, including two against Brazil in the round of 16.
