Everton suffered a late 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
David Moyes’ side defended exceptionally well up until the 89th minute, when Viktor Gyokeres pounced on a mistake by Jordan Pickford.
Everton were undone by a Max Dowman cross that Pickford failed to punch clear before Gyokeres tapped into an empty net.
How have we come away from that with nothing? 😫
16-year-old Dowman then added a second in stoppage time as the Toffees were pushing for an equaliser.
There were a couple of positives to take from the game, one being Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s performance, as reflected by his remarkable statistics.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall covered the most distance on the pitch in Everton vs Arsenal
Dewsbury-Hall is in contention for an England call-up this month, and his display in North London certainly wouldn’t have done his chances any harm.
The 27-year-old covered the most distance of any player on the pitch, running a quite incredible 7.3 miles.
Here are his Sofascore statistics in full.
| Minutes | 90 minutes |
| Touches | 38 |
| Distance covered | 7.3 miles |
| Carries | 10 |
| Recoveries | 2 |
| Duels won | 2 |
| Blocked shot | 1 |

Thomas Tuchel would’ve had a close eye on the Everton midfielder this evening, and it’s clear what he can bring to the England side.
Dewsbury-Hall would bring an elite level of athleticism and dynamism, which will be vital at the World Cup this summer.
Who was your Man of the Match in what was a positive performance? 👏
The players deserved so much more… 😡
England will have to have a lot of natural runners in America, as they’re expected to play in extremely hot temperatures.
So, Dewsbury-Hall would be a smart addition to the camp, as he’s probably one of the fittest players in the Premier League.
The Three Lions squad will be announced later this month on Friday the 20th of March.
