The Friedkin Group have just completed their Everton takeover.
Everton confirmed on Thursday morning that the American investors had completed their purchase of the club from Farhad Moshiri.
The Friedkin’s issued a statement to Everton fans, assuring them of their deep commitment to the club and community.
“Whilst we are new to the Club, we fully understand the vital role Everton plays in local culture, history, and the lives of Evertonians here and around the world,” the statement read.
“We are deeply committed to honouring this legacy while contributing positively to the community, economy, and people of this remarkable city.”
The statement also announced a new hire on the board.

The Friedkin Group hire Ana Dunkel at Everton
The club statement provided clarity on the board restructuring and confirmed Ana Dunkel, a financial officer, as a new hire.
“Dan Friedkin, Chairman and CEO of TFG is proposed to be Chairman of the Board. He has appointed Marc Watts to serve as Executive Chairman, who will be responsible in this role for the management of the club.
“Ana Dunkel, TFG’s Chief Financial Officer and Colin Chong, the Club’s interim CEO will also serve on the Board. Additional appointments will be made in the coming weeks.”
Dunkel has been with the Friedkin Group since March 2012 and is clearly a trusted member of their business.
Chong, meanwhile, will continue as the club’s interim CEO having been appointed by Moshiri during the summer of 2023.
Farhad Moshiri’s parting words
Moshiri issued a farewell to Everton fans and told them that the Friedkin’s are the best possible outcome for the club.
For a time, it looked as though the 777 Partners were going to become the new owners, but that deal collapsed, much to the relief of supporters.
There is great optimism around the club at the Friedkin’s arrival, though, they still have a lot to prove after a pretty unsuccessful tenure at Roma so far.
Anyhow, the future is certainly bright for Everton.
