Everton are going to be active in the January transfer market and more departures cannot be ruled out.
David Moyes was backed in the summer by The Friedkin Group who enjoyed their first full window on Merseyside.
On the back of what was a hectic summer, Moyes was pleased with Everton’s transfer business, which saw nine players signed.
But Everton were never going to be able to scratch every itch in just one summer, with a number of positions needing to be addressed in January and beyond.
Everton News understands that Everton will look to sign a new striker and full-back when the January window opens for business.
Although Everton are sitting in a much stronger financial position under the Friedkins, a January exit or two could still be on the cards.
Speaking to Everton News, transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has named one player who could see a possible departure present itself in the New Year.

Everton could allow Beto to leave in January
Everton News has reported on Richarlison’s desire to return to Everton next year as the Toffees target a new striker addition.
The signing of another striker could open the door to another exit on Merseyside, though.
Following a slow start to the season, Bailey has told Everton News that additions in January could well pave an exit for Beto to finally leave Merseyside.
“If Everton do bring another striker, and look, Beto was already a bit irked in the summer, wasn’t he? I wouldn’t rule out Beto moving on,” Bailey told Everton News.
“The Friedkins do want to move on from him. So, yeah, I don’t think they will sell Beto and leave themselves with only [Thierno] Barry and maybe [Dwight] McNeil or whoever filling in, even [Iliman] Ndiaye playing up there. They won’t allow that to happen.
“But if they do manage to get someone in, then I wouldn’t rule out a Beto move.”
Two weeks ago, Everton News shared Everton’s interest in Franculino Dju, who is being valued in the region of £40m this January.
One thing that is certain is Everton will not make any panic buys in January, and they will not leave themselves short without a replacement secured.

Beto’s Everton record leaves so much to be desired
Despite signing Barry over the summer, it has been Beto who has earned the majority of the minutes on Merseyside this season.
Michael Keane has piled the pressure on Everton’s two strikers after admitting the number of goals being scored is simply not good enough.
Beto did not start on Monday night against Sunderland, but there will be very few Everton fans shocked to see him return to the side at the weekend.
| Beto 25/26 (All competitions) | Total |
| Appearances | 12 |
| Minutes | 674 |
| Goals | 2 |
| Assists | 0 |
It has been a constant chopping and changing from Moyes this season, with neither striker providing the answer he’s looking for.
Moyes has warned of a drastic striker change by potentially playing someone like Iliman Ndiaye up front.
After such a bright start to the season, the January transfer window now can’t come soon enough for the Toffees.
