Jarrad Branthwaite is a player who’s been on the radar of top clubs for some time now.
Branthwaite is admired by Manchester United and Manchester City, and recently it was claimed that Chelsea have also joined the race for Branthwaite.
When new owners come in, it can throw any exit-linked player’s future up in the air.
But it would appear The Friedkin Group will be determined to retain Branthwaite at least beyond the January transfer window.
In a claim that is sure to delight Toffees fans, iNews reports that the Friedkin Group are ‘are committed to strengthening the first team and any clubs expecting a cheap deal on Jarrad Branthwaite can forget it’.
Branthwaite staying will be huge for Everton
Branthwaite will sell for big money at some point but seemingly that won’t be happening in January, if this claim about the new owners’ stance is to be believed.
Everton keeping Branthwaite would be key, because he’s played well this season at the back for Everton.

The Toffees have struggled in the final third, but Everton have kept four clean sheets in their last five Premier League games and Branthwaite has played every minute of that mini-run.
To lose him next month would be a big blow to Everton’s survival hopes and thankfully, the new owners do seem to recognise his importance.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the youngster.
It was reported recently that Everton want to tie Branthwaite down to a new contract if he shows a willingness to stay, so we will see if new owners TFG look to see where his head is at.
