Everton were good value for their 2-2 draw yesterday, with there being a very strong argument to suggest that they actually deserved more.
After all, despite once again allowing Tottenham Hotspur to enjoy more possession, they created very little apart from the goals.
Meanwhile, the Toffees mustered a 2.62 expected goals tally, another huge figure that dwarfs the actual amount they scored.
And yet, despite this apparent barrage of chances, it took them until the 94th minute to draw level and share the spoils.
Jarrad Branthwaite was alert at the back post to head home after Cristian Romero had flicked on James Garner’s wicked whipped delivery.
However, just moments before the free kick was sent in, Seamus Coleman did one hilarious thing that clearly paid dividends.

Being pushed and shoved by Micky van de Ven, the club captain is never one to shy away from a fight.
Giving it straight back, he then diverted attention to his Argentinian defensive partner, speaking in his ear relentlessly and trying to disrupt his focus.
At one point he even made hand gestures in his face, which prompted another deserved shove.
There was clearly some kind of personal battle going on during the match, as when Branthwaite nodded home Coleman, instead of running to congratulate his teammate, stood firm in the face of Romero and simply laughed.
The TNT Sports cameras cut to the forlorn-looking 25-year-old, who knew that his lapse of concentration had just cost his team two points.
Is Seamus Coleman an Everton legend?
It is moments like these, among many other acts of kindness, quality and leadership that lend to Coleman’s status as an Everton legend.
Whilst many might be quick to suggest otherwise, due to the fact that he has never won a major title on Merseyside, my retort would be: does that mean Crystal Palace have no legends? Fulham? Brighton and Hove Albion? Because these three clubs, despite being steeped in history and tradition, have never claimed a major honour between them.
Obviously they have legends, and in Coleman so do Everton.
Having amassed 414 appearances for the club already, the 35-year-old has made himself an ever-present and always-dependable stalwart despite joining for a now infamous £60k fee.
It is no surprise that Frank Lampard branded him ‘one of the best people’ he had ever met, as for many Evertonians, this is common knowledge.
Trophy or not, he will surely leave Goodison Park a legend.
