Everton have already started their work on potential signings for the January transfer window, as the Friedkin Group prepare to take over at Goodison Park.
The January transfer window won’t just be about incomings, as there are a few contract situations and some players surplus to requirements at Everton.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future is up in the air with his contract set to expire in the summer, and he’s attracted the interest of a number of clubs.
Meanwhile, Michael Keane looks set to sign a pre-contract agreement with a club over the next month or so, which would open up a gap in the summer.
Beto has fallen out of favour slightly at Everton and Juventus have already shown an interest, so he could be away on loan in January.
Interestingly, it appears as if there could be a few incomings at Goodison Park, as the Friedkin Group‘s transfer plans have been revealed.
The January transfer window signings the Friedkin Group want to make at Everton
Some support at left-back and an out-and-out attacking midfielder scream out as two obvious transfers to make, but it remains to be seen as to whether that will happen.
Dwight McNeil looked so much more dangerous operating back on the right-hand side last time out against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to iNews, transfer plans for January are in the works, with the intention of strengthening the team’s spine.
However, even with the Friedkins’ wealth, PSR is a factor that will affect spending.

What could the strengthening be with the team’s spine?
Well, the team’s spine generally refers to a striker, central midfielder, central defender, goalkeeper and possibly an attacking midielder.
It’s unlikely that Everton will make signings in all of those positions, but a couple do make sense.
A central defender may only be viable if Jarrad Branthwaite leaves, as there is still Jake O’Brien, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski at the club currently.
The goalkeeper situation won’t need changing as Jordan Pickford has been superb, whilst Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia are still waiting for a chance.
An attacking midfielder would be a good move as previously mentioned, but a central midfielder seems like a bit of a waste, especially with James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam to return.
Armando Broja, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Youssef Chermiti and Beto will all be fighting for one position soon, so there’s enough cover there.
