It’s the Merseyside Derby this weekend as Everton take on fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

David Moyes’ side head into the clash in sixth place, so they are a team in good form and full of confidence.

In recent years, Everton have been scrapping relegation or looking over their shoulders, but there’s definitely a different feel about them this year.

Moyes wants to qualify for Europe, so they’ll be going into these type of fixtures believing they can get a result.

With that said, here is the weak link Everton have to target in order to beat the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool are the only team with a 100% record in the Premier League this season, however, it’s not been as straightforward as the results suggest.

Arne Slot’s side have had to rely on late goals and there are evident weaknesses that have emerged in a couple of games.

One being Milos Kerkez, who arrived in a whopping £40m deal from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

Kerkez is exceptional going forward but has shown to be a liability defensively and was actually taken off in the 38th minute against Burnley last time out.

Iliman Ndiaye could get some real joy up against the often rash left-back and it may be a route to victory, especially if the tricky Everton wide player can draw fouls.

Set-pieces may be the key to unlocking Liverpool’s defence.

Tyler Dibling should be introduced shortly after half-time

To double down on targeting Kerkez, Everton should introduce Tyler Dibling shortly after half-time to have a go against his tiring legs.

Grealish should even rotate with the right winger to constantly keep him guessing and see how he reacts to the different profiles.

Ultimately, Moyes and his staff will want to unsettle Kerkez’s rhythm as much as possible throughout the 90 minutes.

Another weak point Everton could look at is Liverpool’s right side, as Jeremie Frimpong is also a very attack-minded player.

Grealish will certainly fancy himself against the former Bayer Leverkusen wing-back.
