Everton’s James Garner has finally joined up with the England squad and he has immediately teamed up with Cole Palmer in training.
It has been a long wait for the Everton midfielder to get the call from Thomas Tuchel, but Garner now has two friendly games to earn his first cap.
The Three Lions take on Uruguay and Japan over the coming days, with the 25-year-old keen to make an impression on Tuchel.
Is James Garner good enough to be playing for England at the World Cup? 🏴
Thomas Tuchel has not called him up to a squad yet…
As he settles into the camp at St. George’s Park, Garner has already picked up on his friendship with Chelsea attacker Palmer.

James Garner spotted with Cole Palmer in England training
Garner immediately praised David Moyes after being thrown into an England press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
It took no time for the Everton midfielder to be propelled into media duties, with his first training session also taking place on Tuesday.
Is James Garner actually better as a full-back or in midfield? 🤔
He's been exceptional just about all season for the Blues!
The footage shared from St. George’s Park showed Garner reuniting with Palmer, who know each other well from their time in the England youth sides.
Both Garner and Palmer started in the U21s Euros final back in 2023, which England beat Spain on penalties.

The pair could be seen walking out to training together and warming up alongside each other, with Garner unable to stick with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Palmer was not the only familiar face for the Everton midfielder, though. Former striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was also spotted in conversation with Garner.
Having left the Blues last summer, Calvert-Lewin has earned himself a call-up on the back of his 10-goal return in the Premier League.
Naturally, Garner is delighted to be called-up to the England squad, but he now needs to show his talent at Wembley Stadium ahead of Tuchel’s World Cup deadline.
