There’s a suggestion that Arsenal really want to sign an Everton flop this summer

Everton have misfired on a number of signings over the years.

During Farhad Moshiri’s early tenure, Everton were one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League, though, their expensive recruits often struggled to make an impact.

Davy Klassen, who joined in a £23m deal is a notable example, whilst the likes of Jean-Phillippe Gbamin and Yannick Bolasie also failed to live up to their lofty price tag.

Though, perhaps the most high-profile signing of all, Moise Kean, struggled the most on Merseyside as he netted just four times in 39 outings after his £30m switch from Juventus.

Kean ended up leaving the Toffees on a permanent deal in 2023 after a couple of loan spells and he’s since rebuilt his reputation with Fiorentina.

Now, there’s a suggestion that Arsenal could sign him this summer.

Suggestion Arsenal want former Everton striker Moise Kean

Moise Kean has been in prolific goalscoring form this season, netting 19 goals in 28 outings for the Italian outfit.

Kean is Serie A’s second top scorer, only behind Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, so naturally, his form has alerted a number of top clubs around the continent.

According to Italian outlet TuttoSport, they simply wrote ‘London Calling’ when discussing the 24-year-old’s future.

They further added that the Premier League’s top clubs are keeping close tabs on Kean’s situation at Fiorentina.

Whilst there’s been no specific mention of which team, it’s thought it could be Arsenal given their previous interest and need for a centre-forward.

Kean recently scored one of the goals of the season

Kean recently went viral for his goal against Genoa earlier this month, with many suggesting it’s one of the best strikes of the season.

The Italy international pulled off a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-esque finish as he volleyed in whilst completing a 180-degree turn.

A truly remarkable goal and one that evinces a player who’s full of confidence at the moment.

The former Everton frontman is certainly fulfilling his potential away from Goodison Park and it wouldn’t at all be surprising to see him return to the Premier League this summer.

There will certainly be some unfinished business in this league for Kean.
