Tony Bellew blasts Farhad Moshiri for his big Everton failure

Tony Bellew has been speaking this morning about Everton’s role in this PSR saga.

As one of the foremost sides embroiled in such controversy, they have every right to feel aggrieved, especially after the latest news has emerged.

Nottingham Forest, despite having breached those statutes to a higher degree than the Toffees, were to be administered a mere four-point deduction.

Naturally sparking fury from Tony Bellew, he would later move his frustrations onto the shoddy ownership who have plunged the club into this situation.

What Tony Bellew said about Farhad Moshiri

Questioned by Jeff Stelling about whether he felt Sean Dyche was the right man for the job, the 41-year-old instead used the opportunity to lambast the ownership and the situation they forced the manager to inherit.

Bellew stated, live on talkSPORT (19/03, 8:10 am): You’ve got to be fully behind him [Sean Dyche], I’m sick and tired of the revolving door of managers. He’s done a fantastic job, listen when they took them ten points originally from us we were in a world of trouble and he got us out of it. He’s working with the hand he’s dealt.

‘Like I said before the hand he’s dealt is very very tough. We basically can’t bring anybody in we’ve got no money to spend, we’ve had an owner who’s just jumped off, jumped ship, and nobody knows what’s going on. It’s just madness, it really is.

‘The club needs some, I don’t know, just some direction now we really do. The staff are doing everything that they possibly can to keep working at the club and keep pushing us and helping us but so many people have left.

‘You’ve got to look at it from when Farhad Moshiri came in, Everton have gone through three directors of football, you’ve gone through I think it’s seven or eight managers, it might even be more, and our late great chairman Bill Kenwright has passed away. When you add up them things…

‘I mean, you’ve got a squad made up of seven, eight, nine different managers, three directors of football… who are these players playing for? They’ve lost a sense of direction.’

Everton’s ownership are to blame for this mess

Bellew is completely right to air his anger with the ownership, who are solely to blame for Everton’s current plight.

After all, the buck stops with them, and for all the money Moshiri has ploughed into the club, it has been done with recklessness and unintelligence.

Having flown through managers, with each one spending a small fortune on revamping the squad before their eventual sacking, this is a squad spliced together and consisting of numerous players all of whom want to play different styles.

And whilst Kevin Thelwell and Dyche have done well to finally start honing the team at last, it will still take many years to repair the damages caused by Moshiri and all those he entrusted with his fortune.
