Tony Bellew has sounded off on anyone who criticised Jordan Pickford after the Arsenal defeat earlier this month.
Jordan Pickford made a rare error in Everton’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, as he missed Max Dowman’s cross, which allowed Viktor Gyokeres to tap into an empty net.
Should Jordan Pickford now be considered one of the world’s best goalkeepers? 🤔
Gary Lineker is adamant he should 👀
Speaking to iFL TV, Bellew raged at anyone who hammered Pickford for the error, as he explained that the Toffees goalkeeper is the reason Everton are still in the Premier League.
“Jordan Pickford has been the saviour of Everton football club,” Bellew stated.
“That lad has single-handedly kept us in the Premier League for two or three years on the bounce.
“Anyone out there giving Jordan Pickford s— for last week, you are a f—— a——-, kiss my a—.
“That lad has saved our football club single-handedly, so I’ll never hear a bad word said about the lad.”

Tony Bellew reacts to Everton’s win over Chelsea
Everton bounced back from the dramatic late defeat to Arsenal with a thumping 3-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend.
Bellew, reacting to the result, praised David Moyes and his players for their brilliant efforts.
“Mate I’m over the moon,” the 43-year-old said.
“They were brilliant, the gaffer has got the lads going well. Great to see Tarky back on the pitch.
“Jarrad back in the mix and amongst the lads. Jake O’Brien’s been brilliant. Keano has been fantastic.
“I’m so happy for Jimmy Garner, Jimmy Garner has been the best player of the season, well, do you know what, they’ve all been brilliant.
“Skilliman Ndiaye… Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s been one of the best signings I’ve seen in the last decade, so creative.”
Bellew has previously backed Moyes to win trophies at Everton and hopes the board will back him heavily in the transfer market.
The Toffees have been linked with several players in recent weeks, so clearly, preparation is already underway for the summer window.
If Moyes manages to qualify for Europe, it’ll massively help the calibre of player the club are able to attract, so a crucial couple of months lie ahead.
