Everton are on the verge of completing the signing of Tyrique George from Chelsea.

Tyrique George wasn’t in Chelsea’s squad at the weekend as he’s set to make a deadline day switch to Everton.

It’s understood that the Toffees will sign George on an initial loan deal, which could become permanent in the summer.

What are your first thoughts on the potential signing of Tyrique George? ⚡️

Everton target Tyrique George.

With that said, more information has just emerged about the conditions of the potential permanent transfer.

Everton have negotiated a good deal to buy Tyrique George

According to one Everton insider, the recruitment chiefs have managed to negotiate a ‘financially advantageous’ deal for George’s option-to-buy clause.

“Everton’s deal for Tyrique George is expected to be completed tomorrow,” The Bobble posted.

“Everton’s transfer committee have negotiated a deal that is financially advantageous for the Toffees should they take up the option-to-buy after the loan ends.”

There’s no word on exactly how much the clause is, but considering Fulham had a £22m bid accepted for the teenager last summer, it’s probably around that mark, if not slightly lower.

Well, Everton News spoke exclusively to The Chelsea Chronicle journalist Jack Drury to get the lowdown on George’s best position.

Drury explained: “His best position is on the left of attack. He has played in the centre forward role on occasion for Chelsea, but he doesn’t pose the physical threat to worry most Premier League defences.”

That means the 19-year-old will be a direct replacement for Jack Grealish, with Iliman Ndiaye moving back over to the right flank.
