Everton’s financial worries continue and now they’ve been warned over a potentially serious problem which could arise.

Since November’s 10-point deduction, Everton have had little to smile about off the field. A second charge has been levelled by the Premier League.

Financial concerns and PSR charges aren’t the only worries Everton is facing right now as the 777 Partners takeover continues to drag along.

But as the takeover drags on, more and more negatives also surface about the prospective owners.

With Everton in desperate need of the help, however, a serious thing has now emerged, according to an Everton journalist.

Paul Brown on what very serious right now about Everton’s situation

Speaking exclusively with GiveMeSport, Paul Brown has been discussing what 777 are doing to Everton right now that could be very harmful.

“It’s difficult to know how much money they have to spend until they know what penalties they’re likely to incur. So the bigger issue really for Everton is that there is still all this loan money going in from 777 Partners, who are no closer to taking over the club. We don’t know the terms of those loans.

“We don’t know the interest rates, but it’s all money that will need to be paid back at some point if this takeover doesn’t happen. There’s nothing to indicate currently that it is going to happen. And ultimately, this is just loading the club with more debt, which is a very serious thing at the moment. The last thing Everton needs right now is debt.”

This is a concerning view for Everton supporters with the troubles nowhere near done.

Debt is the last thing Everton need and it could be a ploy by 777

777 has been lending Everton money even before the takeover has been ratified. This is likely to help out the club that they are expecting to takeover, but the concern is if they don’t complete the takeover.

The debt placed on Everton could become a problem should 777 leverage it to discourage other potential interested parties.

If 777 demanded repayment, it could plunge Everton into further financial woe and maybe even heighten talk of administration which has been tipped at times.
