West Ham United fans have now been reacting to the speculation surrounding a potential move for Everton midfielder James Garner.
David Moyes has used Garner as somewhat of a utility man this season with the midfielder being deployed at both right and left-back.
It has been a seriously impressive start to the campaign for the Everton midfielder, who is already seeing speculation with a transfer in 2026.
Everton News understands that Everton are keen to tie Garner down to a new deal with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
This must be caveated by the fact that Everton hold a one-year extension in Garner’s current deal, which will prevent him from leaving on a free next summer.
However, he remains linked away with a potential move to another Premier League club next year amid his hazy position on Merseyside.

West Ham fans have it all wrong about Everton’s James Garner
Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have Garner interest ahead of the turn of the year.
It has now been suggested by ExWHUEmployee that West Ham United are also joining the race to sign the former Manchester United midfielder.
But this is not something which some West Ham fans have been overly pleased about hearing.
Keeping it simple, one West Ham fans said: ‘No thanks, we could do better.’ And another even claimed: ‘I like Nuno but I’m convinced he will sabotage himself with pointless signings like Garner and Traore’.
Where will Everton finish this season?
Tony Hibbert has been so impressed with Garner this season following a turbulent spell on Merseyside.
But West Ham fans are not convinced, one other fan said: ‘He’s so so so average’. Whilst one other fan added: ‘Pointless, and not what we need’.
Garner’s role at Everton has been so important this season and he has thrived playing as both a midfielder and full-back.
However, this is not a signing which the Hammers want to see, one fan said: ‘End the season now.’ And another even claimed: ‘Why? He’s [not good] and certainly worse than all our current starters.’
James Garner has defied expectations this season for Everton
These West Ham fans may not be overly convinced with what they have seen from Garner, but their former manager, Moyes, certainly has.
After deploying him in a number of positions, Moyes has waxed lyrical about Garner this season and even suggested he should be earning an England call-up.
The 62-year-old is not alone in his praise for the midfielder.
Alan Stubbs has also hailed Garner as worthy of an England call-up, but Thomas Tuchel has snubbed the 24-year-old all season.
So, there won’t be too many Everton fans losing sleep over what these West Ham supporters have had to say about one of their top performers this season.
