Manchester City player Cole Palmer has posted online stating how impressed he is with 22-year-old Everton midfielder James Garner.
The pair have been influential for England’s U-21 squad this summer as the Young Lions have reached the U-21 European Championships semi-finals, taking on Israel this evening.

Indeed, James Garner has continued his fine run of form from the second half of last season, and Cole Palmer has expressed how impressed he is with the Everton man.
Commenting on James Garner’s Instagram post celebrating Everton’s kit launch for the 2023/24 Premier League season, Palmer stated: “What a player man.”
Everton must utilise versatile Garner as financial concerns indicate transfer window woes
The 22-year-old Everton player, signed for £15m last summer from Manchester United, is having an excellent summer on international duty, and there are high hopes for him at Goodison Park next season.
The versatile star was absent for much of the 2022/23 Premier League season with a back injury, but featured heavily towards the end of the campaign.

With Everton fighting for their top-flight status, Garner played in the last 10 Premier League fixtures of the season and his contribution was noteworthy as the Blues beat the drop by just one point.

Composed on the ball with an excellent range of passing, Garner is exactly the type of midfielder that could excel under Sean Dyche, and his versatility is an attribute that the Toffees could maximise next season.
Filling in at right-wing-back on the final day of the season against Bournemouth, Garner put in a superb performance in a must-win game for the Blues, exemplifying his adaptability across the pitch.
With four goals and eight assists whilst on loan at Nottingham Forest during the 2021/22 Championship campaign, next season could see the 22-year-old provide the creative outlet that has been absent from Goodison Park recently.
