A vast number of Everton fans would like to see Braiden Graham receive an opportunity next season.
The Northern Ireland U19 international enjoyed a fantastic 2025/26 campaign in the Everton U21 ranks, netting 21 goals in 31 appearances.
However, the closest Graham came to making his senior debut was a spot on the bench for the FA Cup defeat against Sunderland, and also in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
David Moyes said the 18-year-old needs to bulk up a bit before he becomes part of the senior side, and there is a feeling that the teenager would benefit from a loan move next term, according to The Athletic.
Where do you stand on Braiden Graham… would you give him his debut? 🎯
Everton feel Braiden Graham needs to go out on loan
The Everton U21 Player of the Season is highly thought of at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but there is a ‘feeling’ inside the club that the striker needs to take another step before becoming a genuine option for the senior side.
Sources close to Everton inform The Athletic that this could come in the shape of a loan move, which we feel is a sensible idea.
Young talents can very easily get swept aside if thrown into the Premier League too soon, and Everton’s current style under Moyes suits a more physical target man such as Beto, compared to a diminutive forward like Graham.
Furthermore, it is probably for the best that Everton send the Irishman away from Moyes, given how the Glaswegian treats young talents who are currently in the first-team.

Adam Aznou would agree with that. The 20-year-old Morocco international did not play a single second of Premier League football last term following his £8m move from Bayern Munich.
Tyler Dibling – a £40m signing from Southampton albeit still just a youngster at 20 – also had a tough time last season, making only four Premier League starts while being publicly criticised by Moyes along the way.
How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷♂️
It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫
Therefore, sending Graham out on loan for the 2026/27 campaign seems like a smart idea from the Toffees – the task now is to find the right club who can get the best out of the boy from Ballygowan.
