The Friedkin Group’s takeover at Everton is edging closer, but it appears as if they’re set to make another announcement beforehand.
It’s safe to say that all signs point towards the takeover being done within two weeks, which will come as a huge relief to Everton fans and Farhad Moshiri, who have been waiting for this moment.
The takeover has been deemed as being ‘very close’ to completion, with just the final touches being added before a completion date is set.
Sean Dyche‘s future appears to have taken a bit of a backseat after Everton’s victory over Wolves midweek, though the doubts will still remain ahead of the Merseyside derby.
Interestingly, it appears as if the Friedkin Group are set to make an imminent announcement, though it’s not the takeover announcement fans have been waiting for.

The Friedkin Group to imminently announce a new-look Everton board
Part of the Friedkin Group’s work behind the scenes in recent weeks and months has been to start building the foundations for when the Everton takeover is complete.
And that now looks to be complete as the takeover process comes to a close.

According to iNews, the prospective news owners’ due diligence on the club, investigating management structures, integrating the club’s work flows and how the business operates, is complete.
It’s stated that it will result in the immediate announcement of a new-look board, to be followed by an executive team confronted by a series of pressing questions on the football side of the business.

Everton takeover hints have been dropped
The Friedkin Group’s official account on Instagram followed the Everton Women’s and the Everton Men’s team, which many speculated was confirmation of the takeover being close.
Alan Myers has also predicted that the takeover could be announced by next Friday.
It’s a huge sign that announcements are set to be made about a new-look Everton board, as that announcement wouldn’t be made if the takeover wasn’t on course.
It’ll be interesting to see some of the names involved.
