Everton are eyeing the young centre-back Charlie Cresswell as a potential option for the January transfer market.
The details of a potential deal between the two clubs have now been laid out to Everton by Toulouse who have responded to interest from the Toffees.
David Moyes has been hit with a significant injury issue this season, which will have altered his plans for the 2025/26 campaign.
Jarrad Branthwaite has undergone hamstring surgery to fix the issue that plagued him over the summer.
Having inked his bumper new deal during the off-season, Branthwaite has not played a single minute of competitive action this season.
Fortunately, Michael Keane has impressed Everton fans as he’s filled in for the injury-riddled defender.
With January on the horizon, potential reinforcement is being eyed and the 23-year-old Cresswell is on Angus Kinnear’s radar.

Everton informed conditions to sign Charlie Cresswell by Toulouse
In recent months, Everton have been scouting Cresswell following his move to Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse.
The centre-back departed Leeds United last summer and has become a regular in the French club’s starting XI.
Having caught the eye of the Blues, Jeunes Footeux have reported the terms which Everton have been informed if they want to sign the Englishman.
It is suggested that Toulouse will not allow Cresswell to leave for anything lower than €30m (£26.5m).
The French outfit are basing their valuation on their recent sale of Jaydee Canvot to Crystal Palace for around €23m (£20m).
Everton are said to potentially be ready to put forward a January offer to Toulouse, but there is no suggestion the Blues are willing to meet that valuation.
Everton News understands that Moyes will want Everton to sign a new striker in January as a top priority.
With James Tarkowski and Keane playing every game at centre-back together, another injury could prove incredibly costly for Moyes.
Everton could land huge addition with Cresswell
For a centre-back, Cresswell just cannot stop scoring, with three goals already scored in Ligue 1 this season for Toulouse.
It is not just goals that Cresswell could potentially add to Everton’s defence, with the centre-back proving himself to be a brick wall in front of the Toulouse goal.
| Charlie Cresswell | Total (Per 90) | Percentile (Among centre-backs) |
| Non-Penalty Goals | 0.18 | 99 |
| Touches (Att Pen) | 2.27 | 99 |
| Blocks | 1.76 | 92 |
| Clearances | 6.97 | 91 |
| Aerial duels won | 3.73 | 96 |
Cresswell has previously praised Branthwaite having played with the Everton defender in the past.
Fast forward a couple of years and the duo could find themselves as the new faces of Everton’s defence for the future.
Cresswell would certainly add even more aerial dominance alongside Branthwaite, but this is a potential deal which Everton are going to have to cough up for.
