Everton held their first-ever game at the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
With Everton preparing to move from Goodison Park to the new ground on the docks, the club are running test events to obtain the relevant safety licensing certificates.
On Monday night, the state-of-the-art stadium held an under-18s fixture between Everton and Wigan Athletic.
10,000 fans were allowed to attend the historic event but unfortunately, the evening didn’t start as desired.
Wigan opened the scoring through Harrison Rimmer, who has since gone viral on social media for his celebration.

Wigan teenager mocks Everton at Bramley-Moore Dock stadium
The Lactics under-18s went ahead inside 15 minutes as Harrison Rimmer fired a well-struck effort from just inside the penalty area.
As Rimmer wheeled off in celebration, he was spotted putting six fingers up, which many believe was an indication towards the number of Champions League titles Liverpool have won.
Evidently, the Wigan teenager is a Reds supporter and was keen to mock Merseyside rivals Everton on what was a historic day for the club.
With so many eyeballs on the landmark occasion, Rimmer has since gone viral on social media for his gesture which cameras picked up.
Harrison Rimmer will be quiz question answer for decades
Unfortunately, the first-ever goal scored at Bramley-Moore Dock was indeed Wigan’s under-18s midfielder Rimmer.
So, for decades to come, his name will likely be a quiz question answer, however, it won’t be classed as the first official goal at the new ground.
Since it’s not a first-team game, Everton will still have the chance to write their own history come August, when the senior side play their first game there in the Premier League.
