Sean Dyche’s tenure at Everton was pretty hit and miss.

Sean Dyche did well to steady the ship and avoid relegation in the 2022/23 Premier League season, and the year after that, Everton actually would’ve finished joint 11th-place without the points deduction.

So Dyche’s first 18 months on Merseyside were pretty successful, but it really soured in his last season at the club.

The Toffees boss never really evolved, and some of his signings were pretty poor and failed to move the needle.

With that said, we’ve decided to have a look at his last five Everton signings and where they are now.

Armando Broja

Everton signed Armando Broja on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea during the summer of 2024, and unfortunately, his Toffees career was plagued by injuries.

Broja now plies his trade at Burnley after they paid a whopping £20m for his signature last year.

The 24-year-old netted one Premier League goal in his debut season with the Clarets and will now be part of their rebuild back in the Championship.

After watching him for England vs Croatia, I’m convinced he’d be the perfect right-back signing this summer! 🔥

Asmir Begovic

Dyche’s penultimate Everton signing was back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a free transfer.

Begovic is now approaching the end of his contract with Leicester City, who were relegated to League One for only the second time in their history.

The former Bosnia international was dropped for the final two games of last season after making a dreadful error against Hull City.

Jake O’Brien

Jake O’Brien still remains at Everton after joining in a £17m transfer from Lyon almost two years ago.

O’Brien has been a solid addition for the club, and Moyes has used him out of his favoured position as a right-back.

What would you be doing with Nathan Patterson this summer if you were Angus Kinnear? 👋

Surely the writing is on the wall now?

So, it’s been quite impressive to see the Ireland international adapt so smoothly, however, he doesn’t really offer much going forward.

Everton are in the market to upgrade O’Brien this summer.

Jesper Lindstrom

Jesper Lindstrom only spent a season at the club, and his spell would probably be best described as par for the course.

Lindstrom was neat on the ball and played well within himself, but he didn’t offer enough in the final third as he only registered two assists.

The Denmark international hasn’t kicked on since leaving Finch Farm as he’s been in and out of the Wolfsburg team, albeit partly due to injury.

Iliman Ndiaye

Without a doubt, Iliman Ndiaye has been the most successful signing of the Dyche era and looking back, his £15m transfer fee was an absolute bargain.

Ndiaye has established himself as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League and is being linked with a mega-money move away.

Manchester City are particularly keen on signing Ndiaye, who is valued at around £70m by the Friedkin Group.
