Harrison Armstrong is a player Everton are very excited about – and there is now some more good news for David Moyes over the starlet after a very positive 2025 so far.
Armstrong left Everton in January to embark on loan move to Derby County in the Championship.
He had made a handful of appearances for the Toffees earlier in the season after making his first-team debut.
But it was decided it would be logical for Harrison Armstrong to head out and get regular football under his belt.
Moyes told Armstrong to enjoy himself at Derby – and that’s exactly what he’s been doing.
Armstrong has already impressed at Pride Park, making seven appearances for the Rams so far.
Manager John Eustace recently hailed Armstrong as ‘phenomenal’ after coping with three games in a week and showing great maturity.
And the positivity just doesn’t stop around Armstrong, with the youngster enjoying a particularly proud moment yesterday.
Everton starlet Harrison Armstrong captains England u18s

Yesterday, the England U18s took on France in Freamunde, in their second international match of the current break.
The game finished 2-2, with Leo Shahar and Josh Sonni-Lambie on target for the Young Lions.
Armstrong started the game for England, and he was actually named captain by manager Liam Bramley.
It was the first time Armstrong has captained his country, and Everton insider El Bobble reported on X that the teenager has put in a ‘key performance’.
Perhaps some day, Armstrong might just sport the captain’s armband in the blue of Everton.
That would certainly be a very satisfying thing for a lot of Evertonians who are desperate to see an academy graduate flourish in the new era at Bramley-Moore Dock.
A major positive for David Moyes as Armstrong captains England
This can only be a huge positive for Everton and David Moyes.
Armstrong has been brilliant since leaving Everton on loan and the move to Derby is really serving him well.
We’ve heard Eustace a few times now talking up Armstrong’s maturity despite his tender years.
Clearly, after he was handed the captain’s armband for the England U18s, he is someone with leadership qualities and someone who’s happy to shoulder more responsibility.
These things will only help Armstrong to become a better footballer.
Football fans have watched Jude Bellingham blossom into a superstar and one of the most striking things about him when he was breaking through was how mature he was, and the leadership he showed.
Everton fans will certainly hope Armstrong can turn out similar. Certainly, he is on an exciting trajectory, and it’s very possible Moyes will be dragging him into that first-team squad for next season.
