Arnaut Danjuma is set for his first start for Everton against Stoke City this afternoon.
The Toffees have confirmed their starting line-up to take on the Potters at Goodison Park, with the Dutchman taking the number nine role on his debut.
Danjuma joined Everton on a season-long loan in a £3.5 million deal last week – sixth months after he was initially due to join the club.
Despite expecting the forward to play out the second half of last season on Merseyside, he is now finally set to make his debut in their fourth pre-season friendly of the summer.
Danjuma starts as a striker this afternoon as Neal Maupay is benched and ‘exceptional’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains sidelined.
The England international is yet to feature during Everton’s pre-season schedule but had been spotted in training this week as he fights to return to full fitness ahead of their opener against Fulham in a couple of weeks.

Calvert-Lewin had also recently been the subject of interest from Roma, who are reportedly eager to sign the 26-year-old on loan. However, the Toffees have quickly dismissed a potential departure for the injury-prone striker.
