Everton’s proposed takeover by 777 Partners has hit a pretty severe snag in the last few days, with real doubt now thrown over their interest.
Whilst the club has always been a distressed asset, this is something which the Miami-based firm has actually preferred, given the history of acquiring the likes of Sevilla, Genoa and Standard Liege in their time of need.
However, none will have been as distressed as the Toffees currently are, who have just been dealt a landmark ten-point penalty and could still face legal action of up to £300m from relegated clubs.
Josh Wander had affirmed his interest by visiting a number of games this campaign, and whilst doubt has arisen, there is every chance that they could still go through with the deal.
If so, there is perhaps a transfer he could make to instantly endear himself to the fanbase and kickstart a new era at Goodison Park.

Having been credited with an interest by Fabrizio Romano, the suggestion that he will cost at least £25m is one which could put Everton off.
That is, if they unless they do offload their two prized assets, who have been linked with exits of late.
How good is Crysencio Summerville?
Given they opted for Jack Harrison in the summer, who has admittedly impressed, it must still remain frustrating to see the 22-year-old trickster tearing up the Championship now.
After all, the wide man is currently Leeds United’s highest-rated player in the division thus far, with his 7.79 average rating certainly well-supported by his creative figures.
Having started just 11 league games, it is impressive the rate at which the young Dutchman has managed to add end-product to his already sparkling game, with six goals and five assists a fine return. And yet, that barely even scratches the surface, given Summerville also blends that with 2.8 key passes and 3.7 ball recoveries per game, via Sofascore.

It should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody that Daniel Farke is enamoured with him, branding the winger a ‘baller’ just last month despite showcasing his hard-work and grit too of late.
To bring that kind of excitement and proficiency to Goodison Park could get fans off their seats once again, and immediately give 777 Partners the much-needed boost to ease past the biggest hurdle in the club’s recent history.
