Sean Dyche was appointed Everton manager on January 30th 2023 following the sacking of Frank Lampard.
Since then, Sean Dyche has managed to steer Everton clear of relegation in back-to-back seasons despite operating on a pretty limited budget.
Everton have been under Financial Fair Play constraints throughout his tenure, so the club have had to recruit smartly and efficiently.
Not all have worked out, but there have been some really clever additions and with that said, Everton News have decided to pick out Dyche’s best three.

Sean Dyche’s three best signings at Everton
3 – Orel Mangala
Orel Mangala arrived from Lyon in the summer with very little fanfare but he’s quietly becoming one of Everton’s most consistent performers.
The Belgium international has formed a really good partnership with Idrissa Gueye in midfield and looks like really shrewd business.
Everton will be hopeful of making his loan a permanent one next year.
2 – Ashley Young
Everton signed Ashley Young on a free transfer following his contract expiry at Aston Villa and gave him a one-year deal.
18 months on Young remains at Goodison Park which paints the picture of just how well he’s done. In fact, he’s playing his way into another contract extension.
After his stellar performance against Wolves earlier this month, Dyche admitted he wished he could’ve had Young at 26-years-old.
“You know, I just wish I could have had him at 26, it’s as simple as that. What a player.”
1 – Iliman Ndiaye
And, the best signing of the Dyche era is without a doubt Iliman Ndiaye, who’s been Everton’s Player of the Season so far.
Ndiaye’s trickery and creativity has impressed rival fans all year and it’s hard to believe he only cost £15m – which is already proving a bargain.
Ndiaye previously admitted he wants to become the best player in the world.
