As such, there is an expectancy that Moyes will have the Toffees much higher up in the league next season and potentially even pushing for Europe.

The Friedkin Group are ready to back Moyes in the transfer market with substantial funds, so exciting times are ahead for supporters.

And, Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure believes the club have a player who could genuinely achieve anything in the game.

Abdoulaye Doucoure says Everton have a player who can reach the ‘top’

Speaking on Ben Foster’s podcast, Doucoure explained that Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite could genuinely reach the top.

“Jarrod, top talent, top defender,” the 32-year-old said.

“For me, like, he can reach the top, top level, to be honest, because this quality, he just like, you don’t know where this lad can go. You know, he’s fast, he’s quick, he has both feet.

“Mentally, he’s very strong. He’s very down to earth as well. You know, it’s a very good surround. I can see his family is around him, very clever. So for me, just, you know, the sky’s the limit for him, to be honest.

“He just needs to keep playing games. Keep working hard, you know, because you have all the qualities required to be a top central defender.”

Jarrad Branthwaite attracting interest ahead of summer transfer window

Everton will have a really tough time trying to retain Branthwaite’s signature this summer transfer window.

It’s understood that Manchester United are desperate to sign Branthwaite, who is valued at around £70m by the Friedkin Group.

The American investors are keen to tie Branthwaite down to a new deal, with his current contract expiring in two years’ time.

There has not yet been any movement on that just yet, with tentative rumours that the 22-year-old could move on in order to get in the England squad ahead of the World Cup in 2026.
