Abdoulaye Doucoure has thanked Everton fans after a 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Taking to X, the midfielder was quick to show his appreciation after the club’s first victory at Goodison Park this season.

The Toffees were under pressure to claim all three points this weekend after enduring a horrific defeat to Luton Town last time out.

The Merseyside outfit definitely met expectations though, making it three wins in four games in all competitions as they put three past a struggling Cherries side.

Doucoure was once again at the heart of everything, rounding off the day with his third goal of the campaign on the hour mark.

The 30-year-old has now netted eight times since Sean Dyche’s arrival, while his three this season have all come in the last six games.

Doucoure has become a fan favourite since turning his form around last season and he has thanked the supporters.

Writing on his Twitter, he said: “No better feeling than a win at Goodison! Thanks again for your support.”

What a turnaround for Doucoure

While Sean Dyche seems to be continuing to play around with his midfield as he looks to find the right combination of players, Abdoulaye Doucoure has been an ever present figure.

The midfielder signed a new contract last season after looking like he was on his way out and it’s a very good job he did.

The Mal international has started all eight of Everton’s league games this season and has really earned it, getting himself stuck in and having plenty of chances to add to his impressive tally.

Doucoure is one player that is likely to be one of the first names in the team-sheet and it will be interesting to see if he can keep it up until next summer – when his contract is set to expire.
