Andy Hinchcliffe has lauded an Everton player after what he saw him doing in the first half against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
David Moyes started James Garner in midfield, and it was a decision that paid off for the Scotsman.
What on earth is going on with Everton’s injuries this season? 😡
This is getting beyond a joke now!
As the 24-year-old spent 18 months on loan at Forest, which was pivotal in his joining Everton, he did not celebrate his goal against them.
Andy Hinchcliffe blown away by James Garner finish
Andy Hinchcliffe, a Sky Sports pundit, was on commentary for the Premier League Productions’ team for the game on Tuesday.
He was thrilled by Garner’s technique as he slotted the ball past John Victor in goal.
Dwight McNeil spotted the midfielder running towards the goal and picked him out with an inch-perfect pass.
Then, the Englishman took the ball into his stride, positioned his body in the best possible way to take a shot, and without hesitation, fired one into the back of the net.
Hinchcliffe said: “The finish is outstanding. He doesn’t even look at the target. He knows where the goal is. The timing of the run is excellent.”

What do Everton need to do to beat Nottingham Forest?
Moyes’ side have not had the lion’s share of possession and have mainly looked to hit the hosts on the counter-attack.
However, in doing so, they have seen Forest put pressure on them, and he would not want that in the second half.
He is likely to tell his Everton players at half-time to press Forest higher up the field of play and disrupt their passing rhythm.
They will undoubtedly look to control proceedings in the second period and that would give them a good chance of clawing their way back into the game.
Hopefully, they can keep more of the ball and not get dominated in midfield as Sean Dyche is expected to demand more from his players in terms of physicality in teh second period.
