Everton’s final game of 2025 is now just minutes away and David Moyes has named his starting XI to face Nottingham Forest.

Moyes has not tasted three points since Everton last played Forest at the Hill Dickinson Stadium earlier this month.

Looking back at the 3-0 victory for the Blues, it is a completely different starting XI that is going to take on Sean Dyche’s side.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall remains unavailable for Everton due to his ongoing hamstring injury having bossed the game between the two sides earlier this month.

The question going into the game was whether Jack Grealish would be fit to face Forest after missing the game against Burnley on Saturday.

With that being said, here is your Everton starting XI to face Forest at the City Ground.

Michael Keane misses Everton’s trip to Nottingham Forest

It is not the news Everton fans will have wanted to hear, but Michael Keane marks the latest absence for the game on Tuesday night.

December has been absolutely brutal for Everton when it comes to players becoming unavailable for selection.

Update: Moyes has shared an injury update on Keane and Alcaraz.

In Keane’s place comes Jake O’Brien as Nathan Patterson makes his first Premier League start of the 2025/26 campaign.

Ironically, Patterson has had his Everton future speculated about, but he will have a chance to show Moyes just what he is capable of.

Jack Grealish returns to the bench for Everton

Having missed the game against Burnley through illness, Grealish now finds himself watching from the dugout.

Tyler Dibling did impress Moyes against Burnley and he keeps his spot in the starting XI.

The biggest surprise comes as Carlos Alcaraz does not make the cut and Merlin Rohl comes in as his replacement.

Rohl recently returned from injury earlier in the month having undergone surgery on a hernia issue.

He finally makes his first start in the Premier League for Everton on the back of his move from SC Freiburg in the summer.
