Although this will come as positive news for the Blues, there is still considerable interest from other clubs.
The in-demand midfielder has plenty of potential landing spots, but he would still mark a possible risk for Everton.
Moyes wants players who are ready to make an impact, and the signing of the Italian would certainly raise questions in that regard.
Doumbia is currently playing in the Italian second division, with the Premier League marking a significant step up.
Given Merlin Rohl’s struggles to make an impact on Merseyside, it could prove a big ask for the Venezia midfielder.
