The transfer window may be open, but Everton are biding their time to kick start into action this summer.
A long summer lies ahead for Everton who need to bring in a lot of new faces to replace the numerous players leaving at the end of the month.
David Moyes is set to see his squad depleted by out-of-contract players departing to test out the free agents market.
Everton are eyeing a new striker as their priority this summer, with some big departures set for the end of the month on Merseyside.
It is a position which has caused issues for a while now at Everton, but it is also proving a difficult market to operate in to land striker targets.
With competition already high, Everton have now seen a league-winning side admit they want to rival the Blues for a striker target this summer.

Bayern Munich ready to battle Everton for Nick Woltemade
Everton are eyeing Nick Woltemade as a potential striker signing this summer as they prepare for Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure.
But this is just another of the exciting, young strikers who is catching the eye across Europe.
And one of the clubs showing an interest in the Germany international is Bayern Munich, with their sporting director admitting as much.
“Nick is playing really well. He is very interesting,” replied Christoph Freund when asked about the striker.
Woltemade is currently playing for Germany’s U21s side over in the U21 Euros, where he is impressing massively.
Aleksandar Pavlovic has urged Woltemade to join Bayern this summer as the pair play together for the Germany U21s side.
Having already experienced some tough competition for other targets, Everton are going to be up against it to land someone like Woltemade.

Everton can guarantee regular minutes for a new striker
Despite impressing at times this year, Beto’s spot as the starting striker is certainly not guaranteed heading into pre-season.
Chelsea are also keen to sign Woltemade, but they would struggle to offer definite first-team football considering they have just signed Liam Delap.
This is something that Everton could potentially offer a new striker when it comes to talks over a summer move.
Everton are in talks to sign Thierno Barry from Villarreal, with a deal for Woltemade beginning to look extremely difficult.
