The January transfer market is going to provide Everton with an opportunity to bolster their side for the remainder of the campaign.

There has been some considerable improvements made over recent weeks at Everton with the Toffees putting together a solid four-game run.

Sean Dyche’s side have been able to pick up some results against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and now Manchester City over the last three games.

The Blues will now be looking to turn those draws into victories as they linger around the relegation zone, still.

The Friedkin Group are expected to invest in January having only arrived at the club last week ahead of the winter market.

But there is now a player who left Everton last year that has gone on to prove the Toffees may have made an error in selling him.

Alex Iwobi praised for Fulham form after leaving Everton

Dyche admitted he did not want to sell Alex Iwobi in 2023 when he departed for Fulham in a deal worth £22m.

However, the midfielder has now found his best form at Craven Cottage and is showing Everton exactly what they are missing out on.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, pundit Perry Groves has admitted he’s been so impressed by the 28-year-old this season.

“Fulham will hurt you going forward. You mentioned Alex Iwobi, as an Arsenal fan he used to really frustrate me at Arsenal because he had talent and technique, but he was a bee that was buzzing about with no sting,” he said.

“He used to just peter out. Now, he’s actually added some assists and some goals.”

Iwobi spoke positively of his time at Everton having scored at Goodison Park earlier in the season.

However, with Everton struggling for goals, the Blues could do with a midfielder like the Nigeria international who could chip in with the odd goal.

Alex Iwobi has outscored all of Everton’s players

It has been a really impressive season for the 28-year-old who has found his feet in west London under former Everton manager Marco Silva.

Iliman Ndiaye has really impressed at Everton since joining as he leads the scoring tally, but he has been unable to make up for the lack of goals coming from the strikers.

The Fulham midfielder has scored five goals in the Premier League this season, which is more than any of Everton’s current players.

Everton sacking Silva has already been slammed recently and it seems the Toffees may have made another one in selling Iwobi.
