Wrexham are on the verge of signing a former Everton player who made his Premier League debut under Carlo Ancelotti.
Newly-promoted Championship outfit Wrexham are splashing the cash this summer transfer window, with owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney aiming to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The Hollywood actors have set a goal to reach the top-flight by 2027, and they’re certainly bringing in players that’ll help them achieve that goal.
Josh Windass and Lewis O’Brien, who both had significant interest across the Championship, have joined, whilst former Everton defender Conor Coady is in talks to join the Welsh club.
Now, Wrexham are about to sign another former Everton player who actually made his Premier League debut under Carlo Ancelotti.

Wrexham set to sign former Everton forward Nathan Broadhead
According to BBC Sport, Wrexham are about to smash their club-record transfer fee to sign Ipswich Town forward Nathan Broadhead.
Broadhead is set to join in a £7.5m deal, which more than doubles their previous record transfer worth £3m.
The 27-year-old actually came through the ranks at Everton and made two senior appearances for the club.
Sam Allardyce handed him his debut in a 3-0 win against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League back in 2017.
Carlo Ancelotti then gave him minutes in the Premier League against Brighton and Hove Albion during the 2020/21 season.
How much did Everton sell Nathan Broadhead for?
Broadhead left Everton on a permanent deal in January 2023, joining The Tractor Boys in a £1.5m transfer.
Add-ons meant the final figure could reach £4m, and one would assume, given the lofty heights he’s reached at Portman Road, they have been met.
Broadhead was a key figure in Ipswich’s League One and Championship promotion campaigns, however, like most of the squad, he struggled to find his feet in the Premier League.
The 14-cap Wales international scored two goals in 18 appearances last term.
