Arsenal injury news to face Everton
Everton will hope for Jack Grealish to return to full fitness in time for Saturday’s clash – his record against Arsenal could help the Toffees spring an upset.
Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are also out because of their participation in AFCON, but Arsenal also travel with a weakened side.
Everton’s last win against Arsenal came back in 2023. How are they going to stop this Arsenal side? 🤔
According to The Standard, Arsenal have six injury doubts heading into Saturday’s match, including defenders Gabriel, Ben White and Christhian Mosquera.
Youngster Max Dowman is also out with an ankle injury, while Martin Zubimendi will be assessed in the days leading up to the match.
Striker Kai Havertz is also out injured, and the German has hurt Everton in previous meetings.
Everton were stung by Kai Havertz winner
Havertz has a frustratingly good record against Everton, only losing two of his eight meetings against the Toffees and picking up three goal contributions in the process.
Everton went unbeaten against Arsenal in the two Premier League meetings last season, with both ending up as stalemates.
But in Arsenal’s last win over Everton at the end of the 2023/24 season, it was Havertz who scored an 89th-minute winner against the Blues.

Thankfully, Arteta will be without him on Saturday, meaning it will likely be Viktor Gyokeres starting up front for the Gunners.
