Everton and Leicester City played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon.
Sean Dyche’s side were a constant threat in transition and particularly in the first half, they got the better of the hosts in nearly every metric.
In fact, the one-nil scoreline actually flattered Leicester, who really needed the half-time break to regroup and reset.
The Foxes were much improved in the second period and Everton had to soak up a lot of pressure, especially after Stephy Mavididi’s leveller.
Ultimately, the points were shared which was probably a fair reflection of the game.
Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day programme, former Everton defender Ashley Williams heaped praise on one of Dyche’s players.

Ashley Williams really impressed by Iliman Ndiaye
Williams hailed the goalscorer Iliman Ndiaye on Match of the Day, noting that he was Everton’s best player at King Power Stadium.
“I thought he was Everton’s best player today, especially in the first half,” the 40-year-old said.
“He was a bright performer. He has got real good balance. In a rigid Everton team, he is someone with a lot of creativity.
“He plays with a certain amount of freedom, which sometimes Sean Dyche’s players don’t do.”
Dyche admitted post-match that Ndiaye is playing more minutes than he expected, so clearly he’s way ahead of schedule.
Iliman Ndiaye has become talismanic already
Ndiaye has already established himself as one of Everton’s best players and that was amplified yesterday afternoon.
The 24-year-old was constantly driving forward trying to create chances and if he had more runners in behind, the visitors perhaps could’ve put the game to bed in the first half.
There’s plenty of encouragement for Dyche to take ahead of his side’s home clash against Crystal Palace this weekend, who have also struggled so far this season.
