Beto transfer development emerges at Everton after airport sighting

It is set to be a busy month at Everton – and one fringe player looks like he will be on his way out of the club.

The Friedkin Group are overseeing their first transfer window since taking over the club, and they could bring in a couple of new faces.

Fans are mainly hoping for attacking reinforcements, with Everton having scored a paltry 15 goals in the Premier League this season.

Evan Ferguson is thought to be a target for Everton, although the Brighton youngster is on a lot of clubs’ radars.

Igor Jesus is another striker Everton are thought to be keen on.

The addition of another forward could well be on the cards, because right now there’s a lot of speculation about Beto – with a fresh claim being made today.

It’s been reported by journalist Rudy Galetti that Everton and Torino are now negotiating over Beto.

Beto has been on Torino’s radar for a while, but seemingly things could now step up.

Galetti says on X: “Torino are increasing the pressure on Beto: decisive contacts expected soon with Everton, as @iljackmora told. The two clubs are discussing a loan with an obligation to buy.

“Other teams in the race, ready to make moves in case of no agreement between and #EFC.”

It was reported earlier this week that Everton would only take straight cash for Beto. Seemingly though, the Toffees hierarchy would accept payment later this year via an obligation clause.

Interestingly, this comes after Beto was spotted at the airport.

Surely a matter of time until Beto departs

It looks as though it will be a question of when Beto – who cost just over £25 million – leaves Everton this month, and not if.

He’s been linked with an exit from Goodison Park for a while now, and he has struggled to start games this term ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

With Armando Broja having returned to action after his injury, and Chermiti also an option again for Sean Dyche, one would imagine he’d fall by the wayside if he stuck around.

There have been some claims on social media today that Beto has been at Manchester Airport and is flying to Torino. Those claims haven’t been substantiated, but they may well prove to be correct.
