Everton have now played three pre-season friendlies so far this summer.
It hasn’t been the greatest start, with Everton losing against Blackburn Rovers on the weekend, which followed a 1-1 draw against Accrington Stanley.
Although, Everton picked up a 2-1 win against Port Vale in a behind-closed-doors fixture on Tuesday, with goals from Carlos Alcaraz and James Garner.
Nathan Patterson impressed for the Toffees as he could be seen bombing up and down the right flank, providing an attacking threat.
However, there was a concern that came from the game, as fans reacted to footage the club posted on social media.

Everton fans concerned about Hill Dickinson Stadium camera angle
Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the below clip, which shows Alcaraz netting the opener against Port Vale.
Many share the same concern about the camera angle.
@HumphreysECHO posted: “Oh this camera angle is going to take some getting used to.”
“Big problems if this is the camera angle,” @_HarrySW admitted.
@Tom_Norris10 said: “Why is the camera on the moon?”
“Ik it’s moaning over something small but genuinely I really hope that isn’t our camera angle at BMD,” @Everton__1234 explained.
@joerob_96 noted: “How far away are they?”
@DarthDisco_Bill added: “What’s that camera angle?!”
Everton’s remaining pre-season fixtures
Everton are now three games deep into their pre-season campaign and preparations for the new 2025/26 season are expected to really ramp up when they fly to the United States of America.
David Moyes’ side are due to compete in the Premier League Summer Series later this month, which will be a big test to see where they’re at.
- Bournemouth (26 July)
- West Ham United (30 July)
- Manchester United (3 August)
Then, the Toffees’ final pre-season clash will take place at the Hill Dickinson against the Friedkin Group’s other owned club AS Roma.
It will be the final test event at the new 52,000-seater stadium, with no restrictions on the capacity, so it’ll certainly be a spectacle.
