Everton’s young summer signings are yet to shine, but Veljko Milosavljevic has been impressing for Bournemouth.
The Friedkin Group wanted to add young talent to the Everton squad over the summer.
In came Thierno Barry and Merlin Rohl as young players who had impressed in top five leagues, while Tyler Dibling and Adam Aznou joined as projects for the future.
So far, Everton fans haven’t seen much from these young players, despite significant investment over the summer.
Everton must remain patient with those youngsters, and ultimately hope that they develop into first-team stars at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton target Veljko Milosavljevic impressing for Bournemouth
The Toffees had other young targets in mind, with defender Veljko Milosavljevic heavily linked in Serbia.
Meridian Sport in Serbia reported that Everton were ‘closely monitoring’ Milosavljevic for a move to Merseyside.
Further reports from MaxBet Sport in Serbia stated that Everton made an offer and were close to meeting Crvena zvezda’s asking price.
No move to Everton materialised, and Milosavljevic instead joined Premier League rivals Bournemouth for £13million, as noted by BBC Sport.
While Everton’s young signings sit on the bench, Milosavljevic is stepping up to make an instant impact.
The 18-year-old has only started two Premier League games, but he turned in superb displays against both Brighton and Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest.
Milosavljevic helped keep a clean sheet with a strong display against Sean Dyche’s Forest on Sunday.
Bournemouth fans are already loving the Serbian teenager, and his performances go to show that some young players can slot straight into Premier League action.
Whether Milosavljevic would have received the same opportunities so early on at Everton is another debate, but it looks like the Toffees have missed out on a future star.
The Friedkin Group may look to bring a Bournemouth-like approach to Everton
Everton’s focus on signing young players over the summer feels rather similar to the approaches of Bournemouth and Brighton in recent times.
Both of those clubs have worked wonders in the transfer market, selling players for big money and reinvesting in the next top talent.
Look at this past summer: Bournemouth lost Dean Huijsen, Illia Zabarnyi and Milos Kerkez in big-money deals.
The Cherries went out and signed Milosavljevic, Bafode Diakite and Adrien Truffert as replacements, and they now sit second in the Premier League table.
It will take time for Everton to operate a similar buying and selling policy, but the Toffees could certainly learn a thing or two from Bournemouth’s success.
