Everton youngster Ceiran Loney netted a hat-trick on Saturday for the U18s against Manchester City.

Three of those goals for the Young Blues came through the 18-year-old striker, Loney.

With a lot of praise being directed towards U21 star Braiden Graham, there is also a lot of excitement building around Loney’s development.

Ceiran Loney nets Everton U18 hat-trick vs Man City

Despite trailing 2-0 at the break, Southern’s side were able to turn things on their head in the second 45 minutes.

That was largely thanks to Loney, who netted a second-half hat-trick to help keep all three points on Merseyside.

It has been a solid season for the young Scot, who has now taken his tally in the U18 Premier League to 10 goals.

Loney has impressed so much that U21 manager Paul Tait has also called him up to play alongside Graham in the front line.

Jake Doughty denied his own Everton hat-trick

Southern has been impressed with 16-year-old midfielder Doughty this summer, with the youngster making 15 appearances in the U18 Premier League.

After seeing Loney secure the match ball, Doughty also had the opportunity to take his own home, but he saw his penalty saved by the Man City goalkeeper right at the death.

The midfielder has now scored seven times in the U18 Premier League despite only starting seven of his 15 appearances.

David Moyes wants more Everton academy graduates and it is clear there is some real talent developing back at Finch Farm.
