Everton will be looking to put some plans in place to prepare themselves for the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has worked wonders with the squad he inherited from Sean Dyche, as the toffees have all but secured Premier League survival.

However, there is already a clear understanding at Everton that a lot of work is needed this summer in the market.

Everton are looking to address four key areas of their squad.

Depending on how many of their out-of-contract players they are able to retain could even see that number increase.

And there is already one player who the Toffees have their eyes on heading into the summer, and he has now been promised a move by his current side.

Everton David Hancko promised summer transfer

It is now almost a certainty Michael Keane will leave Everton at the end of his contract this summer.

The Englishman has become a forgotten man on Merseyside, but Everton are still going to need cover when it comes to their squad depth.

Everton are showing an interest in Feyenoord’s David Hancko, and according to reports in Spain, he has been promised the chance to leave.

It is not just Everton who are showing an interest in the Slovakia international, though.

Atletico Madrid have the defender high on their agenda this summer as they also look to add Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero as well.

Hancko has been hailed as ‘world-class’ and would mark a real coup for the Blues if they were able to land him.

However, it is abundantly clear what calibre of teams they will be going up against to land the 27-year-old defender.

Everton have already opened David Hancko talks

Although the summer transfer window is still over a month away from opening, it’s been suggested there has been movement made.

Everton have lodged a bid for Hancko, according to one report.

That bid is believed to have fallen well short of what Feyenoord value the player at, with Juventus also massively keen on the defender.

Some Everton fans may not be overly keen on this potential transfer as Hancko has shared his love for Liverpool already.

Clearly, this is a player who is very highly regarded by a number of Europe’s top sides and would mark a positive start to the window if Everton could land him.
