Everton return to Premier League action on Monday night as David Moyes takes on former club Manchester United.

Everton players are back from international duty and ready for one last push to see out 2025.

David Moyes went into the break on a high after watching Everton beat Fulham 2-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton must now replicate that performance on the road as the Toffees seek a first win at Old Trafford since 2013.

What is your prediction for Man United vs Everton?

Chris Sutton shares Manchester United vs Everton prediction

United have been in decent form of late, losing just one of their last seven Premier League games.

Benjamin Sesko will miss out through injury, and Everton should go to Old Trafford with real belief of securing a result.

Pundit Chris Sutton has now told BBC Sport that he thinks Everton will fall to a 1-0 defeat on Monday night.

Sutton noted that United have improved, but thinks Moyes and Everton will make life difficult for the Red Devils.

Sutton’s concern is that Everton simply don’t have the goalscoring threat to hurt United.

The former Chelsea striker is keeping Everton’s Beto in his Fantasy Premier League side, but purely out of fear that he will score if he transfers him out.

“You’d be forgiven for thinking Manchester United have morphed into Real Madrid from the reaction to their recent results,” said Sutton.

“But, although all the excitement around them has been a bit over the top, they have definitely improved – and especially at home. David Moyes will make things difficult for United on his return to Old Trafford and his side will be resilient as usual, but I don’t think they will hold out.

“If Everton had a goalscoring number nine then the outcome would be more in doubt but I don’t see them causing United problems at the other end of the pitch, either.

“I am keeping Beto in my Fantasy team, because you can guarantee that if I took him out he would start this game and score, but – with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha – United carry far more of a threat,” he added.

Beto unlikely to even start for Everton against Manchester United

Sutton may be sticking by Beto, but it’s difficult to see him starting Monday’s clash.

Beto has struggled for goals this season and he has found himself on the bench in the last two games against Sunderland and Fulham.

Thierno Barry picked up an injury against Fulham but should be raring to go against United.

Barry isn’t exactly faring much better in terms of goals, but he looks to be Moyes’ first-choice striker for now.

Perhaps Beto can make an impact off the bench, but most Everton fans would tell Sutton to forget about Beto and move on to another striker.
