Everton have been without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the last six Premier League games.
The £28m arrival from Chelsea put his name in contention for the Player of the Season award at Everton with a fine start to the campaign, netting four goals while also providing three assists in 15 Premier League appearances.
A hamstring injury has kept Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall sidelined for over a month now, but the Englishman is now set to return after posting an encouraging update on Instagram.
Who has been the bigger miss… Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Iliman Ndiaye? 🤔
Finally some good news coming Everton's way!
Seamus Coleman surprises Conor Coady as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall teases return to training
The Everton No.22 posted a large collection of photos from his recovery at Finch Farm, showing himself in the sauna and boxing, along with some meals. Most excitingly – however – was the caption at the end, which read: “But now let’s get back to the real work.”
It strongly suggests Dewsbury-Hall is now ready to get stuck back into first-team training, ahead of his imminent return to Premier League football.
Conor Coady was among those to reply, and was left shocked to see Seamus Coleman take a selfie.
The 37-year-old is clearly the old man within the Everton squad, and Coady found it “sensational” to see the Republic of Ireland international orchestrate a selfie.
The former Everton defender posted: “Boxing with no top on and posting is a red card but seeing Seamus take a selfie is sensational.”
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be gutted by recent development at Everton
There never seems to be any good news at Everton without a caveat, and the return of Dewsbury-Hall has been marred by the loss of Jack Grealish for at least the next three months, due to a foot injury.
Who would you play at left wing in place of the injured Jack Grealish? 🤔
The winger is reportedly facing THREE months out – do Everton need to sign a replacement?
The England international and Dewsbury-Hall have become close friends since arriving on Merseyside last summer, and this chemistry has certainly benefitted Everton on the pitch.
However, the 27-year-old will now have to wait until he is able to share the field with Grealish, surely putting a slight dampener on his optimism about returning from his hamstring issue.
