The Friedkin Group have had a really successful tenure at Everton so far.

When the American investors took over from Farhad Moshiri in December 2024, Everton were staring down the barrel of a potential relegation.

But Dan Friedkin made the decision to sack Sean Dyche and bring back David Moyes, which completely changed the club’s fortunes.

The Toffees are now aiming for Europe this season and are well-placed to achieve that goal, as they reside just one point behind seventh-placed Fulham and three behind Liverpool in sixth.

Although, the Friedkins are now facing their first major test following a £75m transfer development.

Everton have a big decision to make on Iliman Ndiaye amid Manchester United interest

It has just been reported that Manchester United are exploring a deal to sign Iliman Ndiaye.

United view Ndiaye as the perfect signing for their frontline and are expected to make a move for the 25-year-old this summer transfer window.

It’s understood that Everton want around £75m for their talisman, which would be around the fee received for Romelu Lukaku.

What concerns do you have about Iliman Ndiaye leaving Everton in the summer?😫

Surely Everton must hand him a new contract!

That said, the Friedkins simply can’t allow Ndiaye to leave for any price if they’re serious about returning the club to Europe.

It’ll be the first time their resolve is tested since joining, so they must ensure that they retain Ndiaye’s signature and get him on a new contract.

The Senegal international’s current deal expires in 2029, however, the terms are probably not as favourable as they should be considering the levels his reached over the last 18 months.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham also want Iliman Ndiaye

The Friedkins will also have to fend off interest from a trio of Premier League clubs if they’re to keep Ndiaye on Merseyside.

It has been reported that Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham are all circling Ndiaye and have held talks with his agent.

The 25-year-old, who has registered six goal involvements this season, has never made any indication that he wants to leave the Toffees.

In fact, earlier this month Ndiaye explained how happy he is: “I was always very keen to stay here and be part of this new chapter for Everton.

“As I always say, if there are rumours or interest and things like that, it must mean you’re doing something right, right?!

“I am really happy to be at this club and be part of a new project with the new stadium, new ownership.
“It feels like a new adventure for all of us.

“I want to achieve things with Everton, I want to win trophies, which the Club hasn’t seen for too long, and things like that. It’s an aim for us to work towards.”
